Hi, I’m Sherveen Southern. For most of my career, I’ve been deeply involved in the world of startups, innovation, and career empowerment. I’m the founder and CEO of Free Agency – a company I built to reshape how professionals manage and grow their careers.

Think of it as talent representation, but for the tech world – bringing the kind of strategic, personalized support usually reserved for athletes or entertainers into the hands of engineers, designers, and product leaders. Since launching in 2019, we’ve helped clients land over $400 million in offers and have been backed by some incredible investors like Kevin Durant, Maveron, DJ Kygo, and Bloomberg Beta.

Before Free Agency, I co-founded JobHero, a tool that made job searching more manageable. I also worked in product and business development roles at Toptal and Bounce Exchange, where I learned firsthand how much innovation and hustle it takes to build something meaningful. These early experiences helped shape the vision I now carry into every project I work on.

In parallel, I’ve always stayed close to founders and creatives – hosting shows like Three Course Founders, The Feedback Loop, and The Sherveen Show. Whether it’s over a mic or a meal, I’ve spent years learning from, and connecting with, the people building tomorrow’s tools and companies.

Starting in 2025, I decided to expand my writing to include something more grounded – something personal. I began a new chapter: sharing honest, firsthand product reviews and analysis through this blog. It’s a shift from boardrooms and tech talks to the everyday stuff people use, buy, and live with. I cover everything from work tools and wellness gear to grooming products, smart devices, and lifestyle essentials—basically, things I try myself, use daily, and have real thoughts about.
